Notes on battery disposal
Since we sell devices that may contain batteries and rechargeable batteries, we are obliged under the Battery Act (BattG) to inform you of the following: Batteries and rechargeable batteries may not be disposed of in household waste, you are therefore legally obliged to return used batteries and rechargeable batteries as the end user. Used batteries may contain harmful substances that can damage the environment or your health if not stored or disposed of properly. However, batteries also contain important raw materials such as iron, zinc, manganese or nickel and can be recycled. You can either return the batteries to us after use or return them free of charge in the immediate vicinity (e.g. to retailers or municipal collection points or to our dispatch warehouse). The return of batteries to sales outlets is limited to the quantities customary for end users and to those spent batteries that the distributor carries or has carried as new batteries in its product range. The symbol of the crossed-out dustbin means that the battery must not be disposed of with household waste.
In addition, the following symbols may be displayed:
Pb = battery contains more than 0.004% lead by mass.
Cd = battery contains more than 0.002% cadmium by mass
Hg = Battery contains more than 0.0005% mercury by mass.
Information in accordance with the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act
Old electrical and electronic equipment must not be thrown into the unsorted municipal waste (household waste) for disposal, but must be disposed of separately from it. By handing in the old appliances at the authorised take-back points in the trade and at the municipalities, a professional and proper disposal is ensured. Such appliances contain hazardous substances for the environment and health. Proper disposal serves environmental protection and recycling. When it comes to disposal, every owner of old appliances is therefore required to make his or her contribution to environmental protection and the recycling of raw materials and materials. Furthermore, improperly disposed of appliances can pose a danger to life and health. An overview of the options for the return or collection of old appliances set up by public waste management authorities can be found at the following address:

Old batteries and/or accumulators that are not permanently installed in the old appliance must be removed and disposed of separately before disposal. Their disposal is regulated by the Battery Act.
The "crossed-out wheeled bin" symbol on electrical appliances and/or their packaging indicates that this appliance may only be disposed of separately from other types of waste and not with household waste.
Please note that old appliances may contain personal data; this may be the case, for example, with fax machines or mobile phones. You are responsible for this data and its deletion; we cannot accept any liability for this.
