RC-Tipping Trailer
How long can I operate a model for with a full standard battery, and how long does it take to recharge?
Depending on the length of drive time, a fully charged standard battery can be used for approx. 45 to 60 minutes. Approx. 60 mins. are required to fully recharge an empty battery.
Why does the trailer interrupt the tipping mechanism when I touch the floor of the trailer with my hand?
For SIKUControl32 Scania diecast toy models with tipper trailer (items 6725, 6726) and single remote-controlled RC tipper trailer (item 6727), a safety mechanism is integrated into the dumper. This is to prevent the operation of the height-adjustment mechanism from trapping fingers that may be in contact with the trailer.
Why are there two different SIKUControl 32 systems "radio controlled" and "infrared controlled"? What is the difference?
In 2004, SIKU developed remote-controlled models for the "infrared controlled" series and launched them on the market. These models operate using infrared technology as the transmission mode. Communication between the model and remote-control device works via a pre-set channel integrated into the model which can be called up using the remote-control hand-set. Up to four different models can be operated using one remote-control device. Functions such as proportional steering and manoeuvring, an electronic trailer coupling device, lights and indicators are integrated into tractor models. The price is approx. €90 to €120 for a set consisting of tractor, remote-control device, charger and battery: the models offer excellent value for money and a cost-effective way to start collecting SIKU remote-controlled models. Extending the SIKUControl32 series with the addition of truck models, we identified how the early infrared technology no longer fulfilled existing model requirements. In 2007, we therefore converted to what was then state-of-the-art 2.4 GHz radio-controlled technology. This high-end system electronics facilitated the operation of an unlimited quantity of radio remote-controlled SIKU models from only one remote-controlled device. In addition to the previously outlined functionality - per model - a variety of extra functions were integrated. The MAN with low-loader (item 6721), e.g. has a low-loader that can be powered spearately from the tower machine, and support struts and loading ramp are height-adjustable using the remote control device. Operating these models is child's play due to the wide reach of the remote-control device (up to 20m). Thanks to high-end radio technology and a variety of functions and easy-to-use models, the SIKU radio-controlled series offers remote-controlled functionality with great value play. Prices start from €160 and this series is a premier segment in the SIKUControl32 series.
