SIKU - A Success Story
Since 1950, SIKU has been an exhibitor at the International Toy Fair in Nuremberg

Registration of the brand name SIKU (SIEPER KUNSTSTOFFE).
SIKU exhibits at the first Nuremberg Toy Fair and displays there for the first time toys made of plastics (incl. a farm with animals). In the ensuing years the product range is expanded further.
1921
In 1921 Richard Sieper founds – at the beginning of the era of inflation – a casting foundry company in Luedenscheid, the base of the Sieper GmbH today. Production of consumer goods like cutleries made of aluminium and ashtrays.
Beginning of the development and production of new products made of thermo plastic synthetic material quite unknown at this time.

From coupling locks to advertising items and toy models
Almost 30 years after founding the company, SIKU presented its first toys at the 1st Nuremberg toy fair in 1950. Before this date, various consumer goods items such as ash trays, cutlery, coupling locks, or advertising items for the brand industry were on the production plan.
