Review of SIKU Flea Market: Family Festival for a Good Cause turns into Star Attraction!

The 1st Lüdenscheid SIKU Flea Market was a resounding success with everything fitting the bill for a fantastic family day of fun: perfect weather attracted almost 2,000 visitors to Lüdenscheid. Many people travelled long distances – car number plates from far and wide were visible in the car park.
A fabulous programme awaited visitors – a go-kart racing track, Hüpfburg und Co., and support from regional organizations such as Lüdenscheid fire services or the German Traffic Safety Organization.
But the star attraction was the main SIKU auction stand, surrounded by various flea market stalls, and drawing crowds of visitors into the hall. At 15:00, the extremely popular SIKU “Black Beauty” special edition was auctioned off. The top bidder (a SIKU fan who had travelled specially from Belgium) was the collector’s item worth € 260.- – to the delight of Lüdenscheid’s Children’s Protection Association that received the proceeds from the auction as well as all other profits from sales of prize draw tickets, food and beverages.
