SIKU fans can look forward to a thrilling year which promises plenty of variety thanks to the 2009 new models. The action starts with an impressive fleet of command vehicles: emergency doctor, fire rescue and police cars also have excellent access to rough terrain thanks to the powerful engines of the SUV BMW X5 or Toyota RAV4. The new Audi A4 Avant and VW Golf VI models as well as new SUV VW Tiguan, Mercedes GLK and Toyota Landcruiser also bring a breath of fresh air to the children’s playroom.
Small 1:87 scale SIKU models are making a big impact: on the SIKU construction site, the new bulldozer – transported on a Scania transporter with low loader – and Liebherr mobile crane are hard at work.
The airfield water cannon by SIKU is popular and well known: in 2009, two smaller models will also be available. The heli stunt team promises fun and action. A new 1:50 scale hydraulic digger by Volvo is released with plenty of high-grade details. Highlights in the Farmer range include models by John Deere with the impressive T670i shredder and powerful 1470E harvester. The TTX tractor by McCormick is another international brand now added to the SIKU programme.
